Additional Information
Why does the weight matter more than it sounds?
A kilo does not sound like much. Picking the frame up once is nothing. But a fixed-leg walker is lifted with every single step. Across a room, that is ten lifts. Across a day it is hundreds. For someone whose arms and shoulders are already not what they were, that difference decides whether the walker gets used properly or gets left by the door. This is the main reason to choose aluminium over steel, and the reason this walker costs more than the steel models in our range.
Eight height settings, and why that matters?
Most walkers adjust in four or five steps. This one has eight, which means you can usually get the height exactly right rather than settling for the nearest one. To set it: stand inside the frame with your shoulders relaxed and your arms hanging naturally. The top of the handgrip should sit level with the crease of your wrist. At that height your elbows bend about fifteen to twenty degrees when you hold on. Set it too low and you stoop forward, which pushes your balance the wrong way. Too high and you cannot press down properly to take weight off your legs. Set it wearing the shoes you normally wear indoors. Fixed legs, and when that is the right choice All four legs rest on the floor. You lift the frame slightly, place it forward, and step. That lifting takes more effort than pushing a wheeled walker — and in exchange, the frame cannot roll away from under you. For someone whose balance is genuinely unreliable, that trade is worth making. If lifting is the problem rather than the balance, look at the WK 51 AL, which has front wheels.
Bathroom use and looking after it Aluminium does not corrode, which is the practical advantage over a painted steel frame. A walker that spends time in a wet bathroom will eventually show rust at any chip in the paint. This one will not. Wipe it with a damp cloth when it needs it. Check the rubber tips every few months. When the tread wears flat or the rubber hardens, replace them. Worn tips are the commonest cause of a slip with any walker, and replacements are inexpensive.

Bought this for my mother who was initially reluctant to use a walker — she’s now comfortable using it for evening walks and short temple visits. Folds up compactly and doesn’t take much storage space at home.
Needed this urgently for my father after a fall and Wheelopedia got it to us in Bangalore within 2 days. Solid grip handles, doesn’t slip on our marble flooring, and the frame feels durable despite being lightweight.
Ordered this for my aunt who lives alone and needed support getting between rooms. Arrived well packaged, took barely a couple of minutes to assemble, and folds flat enough to tuck behind her bedroom door easily.
Bought this walker for my mother after her knee gave way last month. It’s much lighter than the steel one she used before, and the height adjustment let me set it up perfectly in minutes. Grips well on our balcony’s uneven tiles.
Compared a couple of options before settling on this one — good balance of stability and price. Folds well for storage in our small apartment and the frame hasn’t loosened even after weeks of daily use.
